Cat's Bleeding Heart

these pictures are of Cat's bleeding heart plant that she gave me a piece of, and i got the very heart of the plant. i have had it for about 3 yrs now...this year it's going back up north....because the fence that protected it is now gone! the left pic is the yard next door...with the fence missing. it went from the front of their garage to the corner of our house...but not no more! lol




it's has alot of growth these past two weeks! gotta love the sunshine :D

ouchy knees

ok....so hanging around kids can wear you out fast! you'd think maybe all the energy would rub off on us, or soak in and absorb into your soul. They make you smile :) they make you laugh....but they also turn you into jello or mush! i can keep up with them for the most part! But come a bit later, while relaxing, it creeps up on you and BLAM! it hits you...your exhausted, down to the bone! Each and every drop of energy has been used and discarded. You are left empty....feeling very old!

my knees hurt today! :(

it's monday...hurray!

im trying to get the creative juices flowing here...to create ART...lol...my kind anyways! Daughters were standing in the hall upstairs on saturday morning commenting on how nice the walls look, and how the doorway wood looks so much darker! i didn't change the wood...it hadn't been painted over years ago, so i have not touched it! i love the natural wood (im sure in it's hey-day it was all natural, but over the years someone started painting it! NOT I!)

so today is the mindset of finishing the hall with hanging all the pictures back up! I am not putting them up like they were...in fact, very differently. i need to change/update a few and there are some that won't join the others back up where all can see!
i enjoy walking up and down the stairs looking at the pictures of when my girls were little! they made me make a collage of myself, and told me if they have to look at themselves...so do i! ok...ok...ok i made one of moi! i hate pics of myself (which im sure we all do) but there were a few i liked, and could stand seeing each and EVERY morning. one has my Grandfather and me when i was 14...all dressed up for their 50 anniversary party .....oh how time flies!!!!!another of me when i turned 30(my dad had commented after seeing the pic, "thats alot of stuffed animals in your arms!" i was wearing a pooh and friends T-shirt! lol look funny and still makes me laugh. So today will be filled with smiles and memories, laughter and tears. but the job will look good when im done! well at least to me!

finishing yet another project!

ok...i had started this project last fall. It is no doubt a very large job,consisting of 2 large living spaces and a stairwell!One of these...i am gonna do this! i know i can...i WANT to...oh poop! i will take all the help i can get! the daughters boyfriend help me with the ceiling last time, but he's working now and i won't ask! He told me he didn't want to help when i got to the stairs! You see, i had put alot of time on my pictures going up the stairwell. Many single pics and a few collage frames...but you see, i live with a train in my backyard, and i have to straighten pictures constantly! This is a gaint hassel...so my bright idea some time back was to use stickies!!! not a bad idea...but not thought all the way through! Never did i think i would take these down till the day we move...if that day EVER comes! But as a woman i changed my mind and wanted to change my wall colors.

So 2 days ago i decided to finish the painting project, which was stopped by the holidays,visitors from out of town and a short trip north. It's a huge task requiring alot of patients...of which i have not alot of! But that day i did feel up to hold the hairdryer to heat up the stickies and use a putty knife to try and seperate them from the wall. Anyone who has taken down old plaster and lath walls can see why i didnt want to just rip them off the walls! ok i started about 11 am...and by 5 in the afternoon i was painting the first coat up the stairway wall! YAHOO!!! i had started to finish something!

i like that the new paints don't have much smell...or it's not as bad as it use to be! the hubby came home and didn't realize till he went to go upstairs that i had started/finished this project!

so...2 days later....i am upstairs in the hallway now...alot of cutting around doorways...four of them to be exact! i used the small roller for going around the smoke detector and fan/light fixture....when it happened!!!!

omg....i ran out of ceiling paint!!! i have painted everything else that i could possible paint! i even cut the wall color right up to the ceiling.

it just seems like i can't win! it will have to be yet another day....then i hope to post a few pics here!

fridays rock!

i dont know why, but friday's have always rocked for me! even thou i use to work weekends...friday seems to have this work-week-over connotation to it! Or maybe i just like the word friday...saying it spelling it...everything!

the hubby had yesterday off, and neither of us even bothered to get dressed till 4 in the afternoon, he told me he could like this!!! I said yeah!!! im there!

any plans for my weekend?--------nope! not that i can think of anyways!!! if i promised to do something with you, please remind me of it! ok---i think everyone knows me well enough by now!my memory is going down hill, and i am always late! LOL

hey...did i tell you about the girls weekend away plans?---like we are gonna have all girls! at a cabin (very fancy) place, with 3 bedrooms and plenty of living space! i think i want to cook, and show these girls we can enjoy and have fun at the same time! Thanks to Kelly-belly who ownes the time-share, it's planned for the last weeknd in April! psssss Dar like to be waited on...hmmm seems i do know someone else that loves the "room-service" features!!!!! kisses dar'ling!!!
